On the eve of the New Year, the employees' children and teachers of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism will be presented with a winter fairy tale, festive mood and sweet gifts. The matinee will be prepared by students and staff of the RSUPESY&T in characters of the Nutcracker, Zlyden', forest dwellers and, of course, Ded Moroz and Snegurochka. New Year children's celebration will take place in the assembly hall of the University on Friday, December 22, at 11:00.
In Moscow finished an Open cheerleading and cheersports cup. 450 sportsmen from 25 professional, amateur and corporate Moscow and the Moscow region teams participated in the competition. The team of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism "Fire stars" won awards in four categories: gold in cheer mix and cheer freestyle deuce, silver and bronze in cheer hip-hop deuce.
Rector of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism Tamara Mikhailova, accompanied by the head of the International Relations Department Yevgeniy Morozov, held a personal meeting with graduates of the University who are currently studying in China.
In the Sports and Education Center "Sambo-70" was held an open youth tournament in combat sambo among young men 2000-2001 of birth. Participants in 29 teams from 10 regions of the country competed for the title of the strongest. Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism was presented by a student from the Theory and methodology of sambo specialisation, Department of theory and methodology of martial arts Denis Ilyukhin. The freshman won gold in the category + 87 kg, overtaking two representatives of Moscow Georgy Levner and Konstantin Zhuravlev, as well as Ahmed Abdurakhmanov from Kaspiisk. Totally 12 people fought in the category.
This week's awards the sportsmen of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism won in China and Russia. Students, undergraduates and graduates of RSUPESY&T became one of the best in dance sport, shooting from air rifle, rhythmic gymnastics, judo and synchronized swimming. This week in the medals bank of RSUPESY&T athletes have added 19 awards of various merits.

Cup of Russia in synchronized swimming: 15 RSUPESY&T athletes and victory in solo, duet and team
In Ramenskoye, Moscow Region, came to the end the Cup of Russia in synchronized swimming. 15 students and graduates of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism became winners and prize-winners of the competitions. Three medals were earned by synchronettes in team performances and two ones - in the individual competition.
Rector of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism, Professor Tamara Mikhailova, became a member of the Board of Trustees of the Association for Sport Security of Russia. In total, the Board includes 20 representatives of the Ministry of Sport, Olympic Committee, State Duma, Federation Council, DOSAAF and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in particular, President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov, Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Alexander Gorovoy and others.
In Smolensk, a joint meeting of the collegia of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus was held. On the basis of the Smolensk State Academy of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism was summed up the cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports within the framework of the Union State and was determined the priorities for further cooperation.

Employees of the Research Institute of Sports of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth and Tourism conducted a stage-by-stage comprehensive survey of the Russian national water polo team. During the study course, anthropomorphological indicators, indicators of aerobic and anaerobic working capacity, psychological state of highly skilled water polo players were determined.
